Our activities

The Fundacion de Salud Ayurveda Prema, a non-profit organization recognized by the Argentinean government, has the objective to contribute to the promotion of Ayurveda and all its preventive and therapeutical tools which are usefull in the health field.

On January 5, 2001, the Fundación de Salud Ayurveda Prema has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gujarat Ayurved University (Jamnagar - India) in the presence of Mrs. Shailaja Chandra (Secretary Dpt. ISMH), the Governor of the Gujarat State and other top officials. Through this MOU, the Fundación de Salud Ayurveda Prema has been recognized as a Collaborating Center for teaching, assistance and research of Ayurveda in Argentina. This MOU has been signed after getting the approval from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health from the Indian Government.

The Fundacion de Salud Ayurveda Prema and the Instituto de Neurobiología have agreed on to carried out joint research on Ayurveda. The Instituto de Neurobiología is an Unit of CONICET (Argentinean National Council on Scientifical and Technological Research). Since 2002, the different Posgraduate Courses are dictated at the Instituto de Neurobiología.

Posgraduate Course on Ayurvedic Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine, Buenos Aires University, through the Resolution Number 639/2000 from their Directive Council, has approved on 2000 the first Postgraduate Course on Ayurvedic Medicine.

It has begun on October 18, 2000. The Hindu Ambassador at Argentina, Mr. Nigan Prakash, with Dr. Jorge Luis Berra, the Director of the Course, have given a lecture about "Ayurveda in the XXI century" at the Openning Ceremony.

This Course is dedicated to Medical Doctors, Pharmacologists, Psicologist, Kinesiologist and other health professionals.

Mrs. Shailaja Chandra, Secretary of the Dept. of the Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, has congratulated us for this important achievment that in her knowledge, is the first Posgraduate Course in a western country at a public state university.

Advanced Posgraduate Course On Ayurvedic Medicine

An Advanced Posgraduate Course on Ayurvedic Medicine has begun on 2002 with the recognition from Faculty of Medicine, Buenos Aires University. This is an annual Course for health professionals also.

Posgraduate Distance Learning Course On Ayurvedic Medicine

On 2002 the Faculty of Medicine, Buenos Aires University, through the Resolution Number 1539/2002 from their Directive Council, has approved Postgraduate Distance Learning Course on Ayurvedic Medicine.
